Donation Questions
Where does my donation go?
The money you donate will help support Prostate Cancer UK’s vital research into preventing men dying needlessly from prostate cancer. Through raising awareness, funding the charity’s Specialist Nurses team and a research programme into more accurate prostate cancer diagnosis, your donation will help prevent lives and bodies being damaged by prostate cancer. We share Prostate Cancer UK’s goals of stopping prostate cancer being a killer by funding research, improving treatment and support for men with prostate cancer and their families.
What is Gift Aid?
Every donation you make to Prostate Cancer UK could be worth more at no extra cost to you by choosing to Gift Aid it. Gift Aid is a Government scheme that allows charities to claim the basic rate tax (currently 25%) on every £1 you donate to charity. Please note, Gift Aid is only available on personal donations. Businesses are not permitted to add Gift Aid to their donations.
Advice For Staff
What is Just Giving and how do I use it?
Just Giving is an online donation platform that you can use to collect donations for your fundraising for Prostate Cancer UK. Your fundraising page will be set up automatically when you register and you can share the link with your colleagues to make giving really easy.
If you need help using your fundraising page, making a donation, or anything else relating to your Just Giving page, you might be able to find the answer here. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can also chat with the team using the < a href="https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tips/contact-us" target="_blank" style="text-decoration: underline;">live chat option.
How do I register my centre?
Every centre has already has their page registered and the log in details sent to their centre email address. If you have not received your log in credentials, email the team at e-commerce@kwik-fit.com and we will retrieve them for you.
How do I pay in offline donations?
If you have any offline donations to pay in, you can choose whichever options suits you best:
- Put the money into your bank account and then add this onto your online supporter page.
- Give the money to your division's CLM.
I’m doing an individual event, can I still sign up and use my Just Giving page to raise funds?
Of course! Simply complete the registration form and when you reach the Kwik Fit Centre drop down box select the Kwik Fit centre or central function (e.g. ETEL House) you will be raising money towards. This means that your total raised will count towards the centre or office you work for and you'll have your own fundraising page to share with your network.
How do I reset my fundraising password?
If you have forgotten your password for your Just Giving page, click on 'Log In' in the top right hand corner of your page and choose 'Log in With Email' from the list that appears. You will then be able to click on the Forgot your password option. Please use your Centre's email address to retrieve your password.
Who should I contact if I have a question about my Just Giving account or fundraising page?
